Génesis De Castro is an actor and writer from Puerto Rico, based in Los Angeles. She starred on For The Boss, an official selection of the 2025 Los Angeles International Film Festival, and is best known for her role as Girl in the limited Off-Broadway engagement of David Harrower’s Blackbird.

She can also be seen in the short films Ultimatum (dir. Adriana Ortiz) and Below Garbage (dir. Quinn Quinlan). Recent theatrical credits include Foolish Production Co.'s all-female staging of Federico García Lorca’s Yerma at The Broadwater Los Angeles, Jen Silverman’s Witch, Shakespeare's Cymbeline, and Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation at the Art of Acting Studio.

Native in Spanish and fluent in English, Génesis moves easily between both languages on the page and on stage — writing and performing in whichever one a story calls for. Her serialized memoir, Seven Summers After, follows her first solo trip to Greece in the wake of a heartbreak that changed her, and has built a growing following on Substack, released one chapter at a time. Across both languages, her work circles the same idea: that our stories are more alike than they are different, and that telling them honestly is what brings people together.
